Each uncoated vaginal tablet contains:
Nystatin USP
Excipients 1000001.U. Q.s.
PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTIONS:
Nystatin is an antibiotic with fungistatic and fungicide action against a wide variety of yeasts. It is likely that nystatin acts by agglutination of sterols on the fungus cell membrane, leading to a variation in the permeability of the membrane and the leakage of intracellular constituents.
INDICATIONS:
Nystatin vaginal tablets are indicated for the treatment of: Trichomonas vaginitis; Mixed vaginal infections; Vaginal lamoniliasis; Candida vaginitis.
